“Westmont Engineering fabricated these rooftop platforms for a downtown Chicago renovation project.  The design utilized stub columns that attached to existing building columns. Using stub columns allowed the roofer to seal around the columns and finish the roof while Westmont completed fabrication of the platforms in parallel. After roofing was complete, beams, grating, and railing were all craned to the roof in three days with zero damage to the new roof membrane.”
